HCC software is normally supplied as a source code project. The standard licensing models are royalty free and without run-time charges. All pricing presented to customers include 12 months technical support, warranty and maintenance. HCC endeavors to provide projects for the processor, board, RTOS and tools used by our customers where it is feasible to do so. Please discuss your specific project requirements with your HCC sales representative.

License Types

Software Licensing is often a complex subject and HCC has worked very hard to develop a straightforward license policy. Each of our software licenses is tied to a processor/compiler since this reflects a version of software we must develop and maintain.  The majority of customer projects utilize our Single Product or Product Line License (this refers to the customer product) but we also offer more comprehensive licenses to cover CPU based or organization wide licenses where appropriate. Our licenses have reasonable limits on the number of developers and locations to ensure we can support every project, but we are often flexible in modifying this to suit the needs of modern distributed development teams.
